Japanese Thermal Straightening $110/hour
A permanent straightening technique used with a flat iron that will eliminate overly curly, waving, or frizzy hair and will only need to be maintained every 6 to 9 months for most clients. This process can be performed on clients with both highlights and color. Typically take 3 to 4 hours.
WHAT IS JAPANESE THERMAL STRAIGHTENING?
Japanese thermal straightening is a game changing treatment that permanently transforms wavy, curly, or frizzy hair into smooth shinny low maintenance strands. Dodging the rain will be a thing of your past with this permanent straightening process.
This specialized salon treatment is basically a reverse perm. Instead of using perm rods a flat iron is used to smooth and reshape the bonds that have been chemically broken. Once the hair is straight it is then neutralized and conditioned before blow-drying and flat-ironing one last time. This process takes between 3 to 4 hours for most clients and the regrowth only needs to be retouched every 6 to 9 months. For the first 48 hours after the service hair needs to stay completely dry and straight. If hair does get wet or gets a crease from sleeping, immediately blow dry and flat iron hair straight again. Once the 48 hours is up you are free to wash and style your hair as you would like.
